Read THIS blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is.

I think that this teacher is actually feels very strong about her students and care about them very much. But, I would have to say that students lose a lot of sleep over school and teachers who give us work also so the feeling is very mutual. She is trying to say we need to try harder and that she actually cares about us, but students care about school just as much as teachers and students stress just as much. The main event is that teachers care about students and want them to do their best and succeed.

3 day weekend... how was it? Give me a good story or something funny that happened this weekend. Go.

This weekend was pretty fun. Friday I had a game vs BVN. we beat the pretty good. After the game we went I went home and hung out with some friends. Saturday I had another baseball game and we also won that game. Right after the game I left for Manhattan Kansas to watch the K- State baseball game. They lost 9-0, but after the game we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. After dinner we headed back to KC and I went to bed. Sunday me and Will Brennan got up and left for Manhattan again and they won, which means they won the series. We got home around 6 and some friends came over and we hung out all night. Monday I had practice at 3 and then I came home and did homework until 1;30 A.M. This weekend was very fun but also very busy.

Tell me ALL about what your idea is for your stop-motion animation. I need detail. Who is going to help you take photos? What props do you need? Where do you plan on shooting? EXPLAIN everything.

For my stop-motion animation I plan on having an empty water bottle sitting on my desk at home and it is going to slowly roll off the desk and slither like a snake to the sink and fill itself up. The water bottle will be empty and then go to the sink and be full when it comes back to my desk. My dad will help me take the photos and I will probably need a tripod to take some of my photos. I plan on shooting this at home or somewhere with a desk and a sink near by.

Tell me all about your weekend and please share photos!

This weekend was not very exciting. Friday night I had a baseball game and we won 13-6. After the game I went home and ate dinner and then went to bed. Saturday I woke up at like 8:30 and had baseball at 9:30. After baseball i came home and ate and took a nap. I then went to Petland to look at dogs and then went home for dinner. I ate and then fell asleep. Sunday i woke up at 1pm and went over to my grandmas for lunch. I took a nap after we ate and then went back home and ate dinner with my dad. We watched 22 jump street and i fell asleep half

way threw.

What do you love most about this time of year? Explain why you love it.

This time of year I really love the weather. I love how it is very sunny during the day and it is just now starting to get warm after it was cold for so long. I also love that baseball is starting up again and summer is right around the corner. I love how it rains at night sometime so that I can sleep with the windows open. Also all of the grass starts to turn green and the flowers start to grow. Spring is the best time of the year.

Yes I sure did complete the scavenger hunt. I captured some very good pictures and i also captured some pretty funny pictures. I did most of my pictures at school but i did a few at home. Most of them are in the halls or in a classroom. But some I took at home.

What do you know about photography and/or photo editing? Do you take photos? How do you take photos? Do you edit photos before posting them on social media? How do you edit them? Explain any background or knowledge you have about photography and photo editing. Do you like it? Do you have any interest?

I know a descent amount about photography because I took the class this year. We had to edit and take all sorts of different photographs. I do take photos and they are mostly on my phone. I usually use a filter of some sort before posting on Instagram but not on twitter or other social media. The only background i have are the different types of photos because of the class I took. I do not like taking pictures because I do not like being artsy but I don't mind it. I have some interest but not much.

Welcome back! Go ahead. Tell me all about your Spring Break. Include photos!

This spring break I did absolutely nothing, and I did not go anywhere. I hung out at my house and had baseball practice a couple times over break. My birthday was over spring break on March 18th and i had some friends over to my dads apartment. We just hung out and went swimming and watched movies and stuff like that. My friends stayed the night and we all had baseball the next day. I stayed home alone a couple nights of break because my dad went to Arkansas to watch my cousins  play baseball and he got home last night. That is all i did over break. It was not very exciting.

Tell me about your weekend.

Friday night I had baseball tryouts and we found out whether or not we made the team. Tryouts went very well but it was a very stressful week. Saturday I had two basketball games. We won the first one 99-51 and lost the second one in overtime by 3 points on a buzzer beater. Sunday I went to see a movie and then went and hit on the baseball field. I came home and showered and took a nap and then we went to Longhorn Steakhouse. We came home and played Yahtzee and I lost so I went to bed.

If you were the Principal for a week at BVHS, what would that look like? What changes would you make? Why? 

If I was the principle for a week absolutely nothing would change except for the schedule. I would have block day everyday and Wednesday and Thursday would stay the same. I would change this because I think kids get more done on block days and they have more time to understand the topic and you only have to do homework every other day so you don't have as much and more gets done.

List out 10 pieces of advice you would give someone on how to create an amazing presentation.

1. Have visuals so that the audience can see a visual form of what you are talking about. 

2. Have transitions between slides to add interest and show that you out time into your presentation. 

3. Have information from a credible source not just anything off the internet.

4. Have short bullets with important information not huge paragraphs that make the audience get bored of reading.

5. Do not stare at the screen and just read your information off, make sure you face the front.

6. Do not let your eyes wander, be sure to look at your audience.

7. Do not fidget or move around too much because that can be distracting.

8. Be sure that the presentation is not too long or too short. Have enough time to give all your information but do not overdue it.

9. Be sure that the people in the back of the room are able to see and hear your presentation.

10. Have pictures to keep the audience interested and not bored.

Tell me about your weekend.

This weekend I did not do much. Friday night I had 3 friends stay the night and we just hung out at my house and watched a movie and ate food. Saturday I took my friends home and then went up to BC to hit and workout for baseball. My friends came back over that night and we went over to another kids house and came home around 12:30. Sunday I had a rec basketball game and we won and then i went to the grocery store with my dad and we got some ingredients and went back home and made a bunch of food. I did homework and then fell asleep.

This weekend i did not do much. Friday night i had some friends over to sleepover and we just hung out around the house. Saturday I went down to the farm and hunted with my friends and a turkey popped out of the trees and scared us so bad. We tried to shoot it but we couldn't because it flew away. We came back to my house and showered and got changed and then went over to a friends house and came home around 12:30. Sunday i had a rec basketball game and we won by 10 points. I went home and did homework, made dinner and went to bed.

If school had a perfect curriculum it would be classes that prepared everyone for the outside world. Every kid would graduate and all kids would learn about things that will help them in the outside world. The title of the courses would be titled the things that you want your occupation after high school and college to be. You would study about the occupation you want to achieve and work to get better at that occupation every day. You would spend your class time working out problems and learning how to solve real life problems that may occur in that occupation. The ones we have now teach us stuff that we may never ever use again and these courses could actually prepare us for the outside world.
