Read THIS blog post by a teacher. I mean actually read it. Take it in. Think about it. And then, write about it. What do you think about it? What is the teacher trying to say? In your own words explain what "the main event" is.

I think that this teacher is actually feels very strong about her students and care about them very much. But, I would have to say that students lose a lot of sleep over school and teachers who give us work also so the feeling is very mutual. She is trying to say we need to try harder and that she actually cares about us, but students care about school just as much as teachers and students stress just as much. The main event is that teachers care about students and want them to do their best and succeed.

3 day weekend... how was it? Give me a good story or something funny that happened this weekend. Go.

This weekend was pretty fun. Friday I had a game vs BVN. we beat the pretty good. After the game we went I went home and hung out with some friends. Saturday I had another baseball game and we also won that game. Right after the game I left for Manhattan Kansas to watch the K- State baseball game. They lost 9-0, but after the game we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. After dinner we headed back to KC and I went to bed. Sunday me and Will Brennan got up and left for Manhattan again and they won, which means they won the series. We got home around 6 and some friends came over and we hung out all night. Monday I had practice at 3 and then I came home and did homework until 1;30 A.M. This weekend was very fun but also very busy.

Tell me ALL about what your idea is for your stop-motion animation. I need detail. Who is going to help you take photos? What props do you need? Where do you plan on shooting? EXPLAIN everything.

For my stop-motion animation I plan on having an empty water bottle sitting on my desk at home and it is going to slowly roll off the desk and slither like a snake to the sink and fill itself up. The water bottle will be empty and then go to the sink and be full when it comes back to my desk. My dad will help me take the photos and I will probably need a tripod to take some of my photos. I plan on shooting this at home or somewhere with a desk and a sink near by.

Tell me all about your weekend and please share photos!

This weekend was not very exciting. Friday night I had a baseball game and we won 13-6. After the game I went home and ate dinner and then went to bed. Saturday I woke up at like 8:30 and had baseball at 9:30. After baseball i came home and ate and took a nap. I then went to Petland to look at dogs and then went home for dinner. I ate and then fell asleep. Sunday i woke up at 1pm and went over to my grandmas for lunch. I took a nap after we ate and then went back home and ate dinner with my dad. We watched 22 jump street and i fell asleep half

way threw.

What do you love most about this time of year? Explain why you love it.

This time of year I really love the weather. I love how it is very sunny during the day and it is just now starting to get warm after it was cold for so long. I also love that baseball is starting up again and summer is right around the corner. I love how it rains at night sometime so that I can sleep with the windows open. Also all of the grass starts to turn green and the flowers start to grow. Spring is the best time of the year.

Yes I sure did complete the scavenger hunt. I captured some very good pictures and i also captured some pretty funny pictures. I did most of my pictures at school but i did a few at home. Most of them are in the halls or in a classroom. But some I took at home.

Explain any background or knowledge you have about photography and photo editing. Do you like it? Do you have any interest?

I know a descent amount about photography because I took the class this year. We had to edit and take all sorts of different photographs. I do take photos and they are mostly on my phone. I usually use a filter of some sort before posting on Instagram but not on twitter or other social media. The only background i have are the different types of photos because of the class I took. I do not like taking pictures because I do not like being artsy but I don't mind it. I have some interest but not much.

Welcome back! Go ahead. Tell me all about your Spring Break. Include photos!

This spring break I did absolutely nothing, and I did not go anywhere. I hung out at my house and had baseball practice a couple times over break. My birthday was over spring break on March 18th and i had some friends over to my dads apartment. We just hung out and went swimming and watched movies and stuff like that. My friends stayed the night and we all had baseball the next day. I stayed home alone a couple nights of break because my dad went to Arkansas to watch my cousins  play baseball and he got home last night. That is all i did over break. It was not very exciting.

Tell me about your weekend.

Friday night I had baseball tryouts and we found out whether or not we made the team. Tryouts went very well but it was a very stressful week. Saturday I had two basketball games. We won the first one 99-51 and lost the second one in overtime by 3 points on a buzzer beater. Sunday I went to see a movie and then went and hit on the baseball field. I came home and showered and took a nap and then we went to Longhorn Steakhouse. We came home and played Yahtzee and I lost so I went to bed.

If you were the Principal for a week at BVHS, what would that look like? What changes would you make? Why? 

If I was the principle for a week absolutely nothing would change except for the schedule. I would have block day everyday and Wednesday and Thursday would stay the same. I would change this because I think kids get more done on block days and they have more time to understand the topic and you only have to do homework every other day so you don't have as much and more gets done.

List out 10 pieces of advice you would give someone on how to create an amazing presentation.

1. Have visuals so that the audience can see a visual form of what you are talking about. 

2. Have transitions between slides to add interest and show that you out time into your presentation. 

3. Have information from a credible source not just anything off the internet.

4. Have short bullets with important information not huge paragraphs that make the audience get bored of reading.

5. Do not stare at the screen and just read your information off, make sure you face the front.

6. Do not let your eyes wander, be sure to look at your audience.

7. Do not fidget or move around too much because that can be distracting.

8. Be sure that the presentation is not too long or too short. Have enough time to give all your information but do not overdue it.

9. Be sure that the people in the back of the room are able to see and hear your presentation.

10. Have pictures to keep the audience interested and not bored.

Tell me about your weekend.

This weekend I did not do much. Friday night I had 3 friends stay the night and we just hung out at my house and watched a movie and ate food. Saturday I took my friends home and then went up to BC to hit and workout for baseball. My friends came back over that night and we went over to another kids house and came home around 12:30. Sunday I had a rec basketball game and we won and then i went to the grocery store with my dad and we got some ingredients and went back home and made a bunch of food. I did homework and then fell asleep.

This weekend i did not do much. Friday night i had some friends over to sleepover and we just hung out around the house. Saturday I went down to the farm and hunted with my friends and a turkey popped out of the trees and scared us so bad. We tried to shoot it but we couldn't because it flew away. We came back to my house and showered and got changed and then went over to a friends house and came home around 12:30. Sunday i had a rec basketball game and we won by 10 points. I went home and did homework, made dinner and went to bed.

If school had a perfect curriculum it would be classes that prepared everyone for the outside world. Every kid would graduate and all kids would learn about things that will help them in the outside world. The title of the courses would be titled the things that you want your occupation after high school and college to be. You would study about the occupation you want to achieve and work to get better at that occupation every day. You would spend your class time working out problems and learning how to solve real life problems that may occur in that occupation. The ones we have now teach us stuff that we may never ever use again and these courses could actually prepare us for the outside world.

Tell me what you believe this cartoon is trying to say. Do you agree or disagree with this idea? Try and look at this from two different perspectives. What is your perspective? What would be an adult/teacher's perspective?

I think this cartoon is trying to tell us that other countries are more sophisticated than the United States. It is saying that the US is to caught up in technology and not enough in math and science. A teachers perspective may be that people in China and India study while kids in the US play on their phones. But my perspective is that people around the world are more sophisticated than the USA.

I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?

This means that you should work or do less things but you should do those things to the best of your ability instead of doing a lot of things with less effort. This could apply to my life in baseball. I only play one sport instead of 2-3 so that i can focus more on the one that means the most to me. This could apply to school work by getting less done but making sure that you do it perfect and the best that you can instead of doing a lot of things at once with just half the effort. I think if i got less work it would benefit me a lot more. I believe this because than i could devote all my time to just those certain few things and not feel rushed and pressured. I think the quality of my work would be much better because i could spend my time focused on one thing not four things at once.

Tell me all about your weekend! I sure hope you have photos to share.

On Friday I had some friends over to my dads and we just hung out there and watched movies and stuff like that. I fell asleep pretty early and had a friend stay the night also. Saturday I got up early and I went to breakfast. I hung out with my friend and we went and worked out and than showered and went to see american sniper. The movie got over at 12:45 so I took all my friends home and I went back home. Sunday was very busy, I got up early and went coyote hunting. Next I went and hit up at Blue Valley West outside on the field. I had a rec game at 6:30 and I scored 22 points. I came home and ate and we rented a movie called the equalizer and I fell asleep half way through. It was a pretty fun weekend overall.

I have learned that "Tobacco smoke is a mixture of gases and particles. It contains more than 7,000 chemical compounds. More than 250 of these chemicals are known to be harmful, and at least 69 are known to cause cancer.” Second hand smoke is just as bad for a person around the smoker who is not actually smoking. Tobacco can cause cancer and even death.

You haven't had a chance to tell me about your Sweetheart weekend yet - tell me about it now! Include photos if you have them. Even if you just laid around on the couch and watched Netflix, tell me all about it.

Sweetheart weekend was actually pretty boring. Friday night I had some friends over that went to Saint Thomas Aquinas and we just hung out and got in the hot tub, and went to eat later that night and then came back and they left around 12:30. Saturday I went to lifetime and played basketball and worked out and did not go to sweetheart. I had a baseball meeting from 4-6 and then the same friends came over Saturday night but didn't leave till a little later this time. Sunday i woke up around 2 watched the Super Bowl and then got in trouble so i went to bed. Lastly i got up Monday morning and came to lovely Blue Valley.

Email is a way to interact with friends, family, businesses, teachers, etc. you can email and get in touch with anyone you want as long as you have there email address. I only use email when i need to get in contact with teachers or to retrieve passwords that I forgot. People use email to get in contact with family/friends,get in contact with businesses, or even negotiate about buying/selling an item. I know that when writing an email it is proper to  have a hello and a goodbye as well as typing out and not abbreviating.

Yesterday I had you choose a global issue and you wrote about it on your blog. Today on your blog I want you to tell me about two different perspectives of your global issue. Are there people for an against your issue? Do people disagree on your issue? Is it a topic that can cause controversy? Look at the issue for two different perspectives. Tell me about those perspectives.

There are two different perspectives about my topic. There is people who do not like tobacco and think that it very bad for you which it is and there is people who use tobacco everyday and they do not think that its as harmful as people say. There is alot of people who disagree with tobacco and think that it should not be allowed but there is also alot of people who cant go a day without tobacco. This topic could cause controversy because people could argue about whether or not it is actually bad for you. The first perspective is that tobacco is harmful and people should stop using it and get mad when they see people smoking or chewing and than there is the second perspective. This perspective is the people who are common users of tobacco who think tobacco is good and do not think it is harmful to others around them and do not care what others think because of there addiction. Which is not the right perspective because tobacco can take your life.

I know that tobacco can cause really bad health problem, such as mouth and throat cancer, lung cancer and can also harm others around you. I want to know how likely it is to get cancer if you are a regular user of tobacco and how many people die due to the use of tobacco. I chose this because my dad chews tobacco and it worries me sometimes. I am not very passionate about it but I know its harmful and I want to know just how harmful it is.

Last week I asked your to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.

So that we didn't get used to being boring. Bullets and headers are boring and all people tend to do is read and do not soak up any of the information. You want stuff that will catch the person watching eye so that they will listen and take action. If you have a bunch for them to read they may miss something or just not listen at all. You want to hook them with interesting information, not boring paragraphs and headers.

On Friday night i had some friends over to my house and we hung out there and went to some other friends house. On Saturday I went down to the farm and we accidentally started a fire so we had to put that out and it took about an hour and a half . When we were done i came home and went to eat with friends and hung out with them all night. On Sunday I had a rec basketball game and we won 60-53 and than I went to dinner and went home and slept. Monday I went up to BC and hit some baseballs and than went over to my grandmas for dinner and watched a movie, and I ended up staying the night there.

What are your thoughts on this class so far? Easy? Hard? Informative? Frustrating? What have you learned so far? What do you want to learn? Explain yourself.

I like this class so far and I like the use of the computer. This class can be frustrating at times when you get behind but overall it is pretty enjoyable. I have learned how to use Blogger so far and a bunch of stuff inside of Blogger. If there was one thing I would want to learn more about it would probably be more about the Google apps such as Google Sheets, Docs, Slides etc.

This weekend.... On Friday night I hung out with friends until the Blue Valley Tigers basketball game, after the tigers won I went home and hung out with my mom and we watched a movie. Saturday night I hung out with Will, Cole, Blake, and Jack and we went to dinner at Jose Peppers and than bounced around to different houses and hung out with a bunch of friends. Sunday I had a rec basketball game and i dropped 19 points and my team won 69-41. My game was at 2:30 and was over at 3:30 and at 5 o'clock I got baptized at the Church of the Resurrection. I went out to dinner afterwards and then went home and did homework and went to sleep.
